Choreographer looking for dancers in or around the Upstate South Carolina area ages 16-adult to join a dance ensemble to perform original digital and stage dance content. Advanced dancers under age 16 will also be considered. Dancers must be comfortable learning and performing multiple dance styles including, but not limited to African jazz, contemporary, musical theater, liturgical, and hip-hop.
This is a non-union/volunteer-only dance ensemble. Callbacks are scheduled prior to ensemble rehearsals, therefore dancers should prepare to attend their first rehearsal the same day as the callback, if selected.
- Reliable transportation to and from rehearsals and performances
- Attend scheduled rehearsals to learn dance routines for digital content and stage performances
- Demonstrate strong technique and performance experience in different styles of dance
- Perform original dance routines in digital content (media consent form required) and stage productions
Application Requirements
- Video submission of dancer performing two 1-minute dances of contrasting styles followed by a callback, if selected.
- Headshot & performance resume denoting a compilation of performance experience, dance history, training, education, awards, etc.
- Optional – Electronic Press Kit (EPK), choreography/dancer reel, or link to dedicated social media page with dancer’s performances/choreography.
Auditions are open and year round via video submission and callback.
