I understand that their withdrawal may leave you wondering what happened, but before assuming they're "acting funny" or thinking they "feel some type of way," consider that there is another reason. "Soft-life" or "Soft girl era" is so much more than a trend or a phase. So many women, present company included, are choosing to take off our capes and give back the weight of the world. Instead we are choosing to focus our energy, attention, and focus on healing, interactions that bring us peace, and restoration to our lives. I was ready to hang up my artistry No inspiration

I was ready to hang up my artistry
No inspiration to dance, struggling to choreograph
Drowning in my thoughts, concluding I’d lost it
Surrendering to the idea that part of my life was over

But before I chose to concede
I took it the floor

…and she met me there

Getting out of my head and into my body
I released the self-doubt mounting against my creativity
Reigniting a fire flickering ever so faintly

A fresh wind of vitality
